Which cloth is for what?
Standard café practice: brown clip cloth (30 × 60 cm) for steam wand and milk zone, green cloth (30 × 30 cm) for machine surfaces and counters, the two blue cloths (20 × 20 cm) for detail areas like group head rim, basket and drip tray. The color coding prevents milk and machine zones from mixing — important for hygiene.
How do I wash the cloths correctly?
Normal colored wash (e.g. 40–60 °C), only with lint-free items (so not together with towels or T-shirts). Skip fabric softener — it coats the microfiber and reduces absorbency. Remove the clip from the brown cloth before washing.
How often should I rotate / wash the cloths?
Café operation: daily, at minimum at end of shift. Home use: into the wash pile after every brew session and washed every 2–3 days at the latest — longer and milk and water residue stay in the fiber and develop odor. Replace immediately on visible stains.
How long do the cloths last?
