What's the difference between Standard Black and XL Forest?
XL Forest is slightly larger (250 × 220 × 60 mm vs. 220 × 230 × 60 mm), with about 3 l of internal volume and 85 g heavier. It also uses oil pull-up leather, which develops a characteristic patina with use, and the inner pockets are more flexibly divided. Standard Black is the compact, low-key variant with matte black leather — both premium materials, same maker, same padding level.
Does my Comandante C60 Baracuda fit too?
The Travel Bag is primarily designed for the C40 series (MK3/MK4). The C60 Baracuda is slightly larger in diameter and won't fit the padded grinder pocket without pressure. There's no official solution for the C60 in the Comandante lineup — you'd need to use the XL Travel Bag and skip the dedicated padded pocket.
Is the bag rain-resistant?
The canvas is water-repellent treated — light drizzle or a short shower won't hurt. It's not waterproof in the sense of „rain-through-proof" or „submersible", though. For longer wet exposure: put the bag in a drybag or use a rain cover.
What fits in the Standard Black?
C40 grinder in the padded pocket + 1× Bean Jar Large in the loop or 2× Polymer Bean Jars (40 g) + brushes and cupping spoon in the flat pocket. For more equipment (brewer, filter, carafe) go with the XL Forest.
