The stainless-steel lids carry a polypropylene gasket and close aroma- and gas-tight. CO₂ vents in a controlled way, oxygen stays out — longer freshness than in an opened bean bag with a clip.

Description

The Comandante Glass Bean Jar 4-Pack is the glass version of the Polymer Bean Jar — four identical containers with airtight stainless-steel lids that fit straight onto the grind chamber of your Comandante C40 MK3 or MK4.

Glass holds aroma longer and doesn't pick up flavor. Grind straight into the jar, close the lid, done. Four jars = four pre-portioned doses for the coffee bar, the road, or the competition lineup — switch beans and grind setting without a tare reset.

The glass version also doubles as a replacement for the original C40 grind-chamber bottom glass if yours is broken. Made in Germany by Comandante.

What's the difference between glass and polymer?

Glass holds aroma longer and doesn't absorb coffee oils — important when you separate different varieties. Polymer is lighter and virtually unbreakable — better for travel and outdoor. Functionally they're identical; the choice depends on your setup.

Can I use these jars as a replacement glass for my C40?

Yes. The glass containers are a direct fit for the original C40 MK3 and MK4 grind-chamber bottom glass. If yours is broken, screw a jar from the set straight under the grind chamber and keep grinding.

How tight are the stainless-steel lids?

Hermetic. The lids carry a polypropylene gasket — no aroma loss, no oxygen intake. Freshly roasted beans stay noticeably fresher inside than in an opened bean bag with a clip.

What's the capacity of each individual jar?
