Who needs the Red Clix RX35?
Brewers working with light specialty roasts who want to hit the sweet spot more precisely. Also useful for manual espresso setups (Flair, 9Barista), where the finer steps allow better pull-time control. For standard filter brews, the standard scale is usually sufficient.
Can I mix standard and RX35 parts?
No — and this is important. The fine thread of the RX35 parts doesn't fit standard parts. Mixing them damages both sets and renders them unusable. The set includes everything you need, so there's no reason to mix.
How does the RX35 differ from the standard scale?
The standard C40 has ~30 clicks per rotation. The RX35 doubles that to ~35+ — more fine resolution in the same grind range. A standard click is about 10 μm, an RX35 click is about 5 μm.
Which Comandante models does the RX35 fit?
All C40 MK3 and MK4 (Standard, LAB Series, all color variants). Not for C40 MK2 or older (different drivetrain system), not for C60 Baracuda, not for X25 Trailmaster.
