How does the XXL Crank differ from the Black Crank (XL)?
The XXL is even longer than the XL (Black Crank). Both have the Big Joe knob, but the XXL has bare stainless steel instead of black lacquer + natural oak instead of black-lacquered oak. Choice: XL = portable + sporty, XXL = table setup + refined look.
Which Comandante models does the XXL Crank fit?
All C40 MK3 and MK4 (Standard, LAB Series, all color variants). Not for C40 MK2 or older, not for C60 Baracuda, not for X25 Trailmaster.
Does the oak knob develop a patina?
Yes — that's intentional. Over time and through hand contact, the knob takes on a warmer color and a smooth, slightly glossy surface. That's normal behavior of untreated oak wood and adds character over time.
Does the XXL Crank have a torque limit?
Practically no — the burr set is always the limiting factor. You can use the XXL when grinding any Comandante-compatible bean (or other materials) without concern for the axle.
