The heavy ceramic buffers temperature swings — no preheating needed, light roasts extract cleanly and balanced.

Arita tradition

Crafted in the Arita region, Japan's porcelain heartland for over 400 years — artisan quality in every piece.

Pour-over classic

Pour-over classic

The iconic V60 shape with spiral ribs and single hole is the most-used pour-over method among specialty baristas worldwide.

Auf einen Blick

  • Arita porcelainPremium Japanese porcelain from the traditional Arita region — durable, taste-neutral, food-safe.
  • Spiral ribsHario's signature spiral ribs keep the paper filter off the wall — water flows evenly, coffee blooms freely.
  • Single holeOne large outlet hole instead of many small ones — you control flow rate purely with your pour technique.
  • Cone shapeThe conical shape layers the coffee bed deeply — maximum water contact, full flavor extraction.
  • Two sizes, two colorsSize 01 (W119 × H82 mm, 1–2 cups) or 02 (W140 × H102 mm, 1–4 cups), each in classic white or bold red.
  • Handcrafted in JapanEvery piece is made by local artisans in Arita — not mass-produced, real Japanese craftsmanship.

Description

The Hario V60 Ceramic Dripper made from Arita porcelain — handcrafted in Japan, with 400 years of pottery tradition in every cup.

The heavy ceramic holds brewing temperature more steadily than any plastic or glass version — no preheating, no temperature drop while pouring. Light roasts that often taste sour in a plastic V60 come through clean and balanced here.

Each piece is crafted in the Arita region by local artisans — the same place where Japanese porcelain has been made for 400 years. The signature V60 spiral ribs and single large outlet hole guarantee even extraction. Available in two sizes (01 for 1–2 cups, 02 for 1–4 cups) and two colors (white, red).

Tipps für die erste Tasse

Rinse with hot water before brewing — activates the filter and preheats the ceramic for stable brewing temperature.

Grind: medium-fine (table salt). 30 g coffee to 500 g water, target 2:30–3:00 min brew time.

Pour in circles from center outward — don't hit the filter rim directly, otherwise water bypasses the coffee bed.

Häufige Fragen

Deine Frage ist nicht dabei? Schreib uns an support@baristadelight.de.

Ceramic or plastic — which should I pick?
Ceramic holds heat better and produces cleaner cups, especially with light roasts. Plastic is lighter and shatterproof (for travel/camping). If you brew at home and care about flavor: ceramic.
Which size for how many people?
Size 01 fits 1–2 cups (max ~300 ml). Size 02 for 1–4 cups (max ~600 ml). Singles typically pick 01, couples and guests go for 02.
Do I need special filters?
Standard V60 filters — size 01 with 01 filters, size 02 with 02 filters. Hario, Cafec, Sibarist all fit.
Dishwasher-safe?
Yes, technically Arita ceramic is dishwasher-safe. We still recommend hand-washing — ceramic can chip, and careful handling preserves the glaze longer.
