Warum es sich lohnt

No-Bypass

No-Bypass

Standard drippers allow water to bypass the coffee bed, leading to uneven extraction. The PULSAR™ Mini’s no-bypass design forces every drop of water through the coffee, ensuring a more uniform, efficient, and flavorful extraction every time.

Flow Control

Flow Control

The integrated flow-control valve gives you total command over your brew. Whether you want to steep your bloom, perform a full immersion, or control the percolation rate, the PULSAR™ Mini adapts to your specific recipe needs.

Optimized for smaller doses

Optimized for smaller doses

The PULSAR™ Mini is optimized for smaller doses (using 58mm filters) without sacrificing the precision of the original. Its compact size makes it the perfect companion for solo brewing at home or high-quality coffee on the go.

Auf einen Blick

  • No-Bypass ExtractionThe vertical walls and sealed design ensure that all water must pass through the coffee bed. This eliminates weak, under-extracted bypass water, resulting in a richer and more consistent cup profile.
  • Precision Flow-Control ValveThe high-quality valve allows you to switch between closed (immersion) and open (percolation) modes effortlessly. This versatility enables advanced brewing techniques like steeped blooms and hybrid extractions.
  • Diffused Shower ScreenThe engineered dispersion cap ensures a gentle and uniform water distribution across the entire coffee bed. This prevents channeling and ensures that every coffee particle is evenly saturated.
  • Optimized for Smaller DosesWith a narrower diameter than the original Pulsar, the Mini is specifically designed to maintain an ideal bed depth for smaller coffee doses, ensuring optimal extraction even with single-cup recipes.
  • High-Quality 58mm FiltersThe PULSAR™ Mini uses precision-cut 58mm paper filters that provide excellent clarity and flow consistency. Each brewer comes with a pack of 100 filters to get you started immediately.
  • Durable & Travel-ReadyMade from high-quality, heat-resistant materials, the PULSAR™ Mini is lightweight yet robust. Its compact footprint fits easily into any travel bag, making it the ultimate portable precision brewer.

Tipps für die erste Tasse

Close the valve during the blooming phase to ensure every coffee particle is fully saturated without losing any water. Open the valve after 45-60 seconds to begin the percolation phase for maximum flavor clarity

For the most uniform extraction, ensure your brewer is sitting level on your scale or carafe. This ensures the water from the shower screen hits the coffee bed evenly across the entire surface

Always rinse the 58mm paper filter with hot water before adding your coffee. This removes any paper taste and pre-heats the brewer, ensuring better temperature stability during the brew

Was Kunden über uns sagen

Häufige Fragen

Deine Frage ist nicht dabei? Schreib uns an support@baristadelight.de.

How does the PULSAR™ Mini differ from the original Pulsar?
The Mini features a narrower diameter optimized for smaller coffee doses and uses 58mm filters. It retains the same no-bypass design and flow-control valve but in a more compact, travel-friendly size.
Do I need a gooseneck kettle for the PULSAR™ Mini?
No. Thanks to the diffused shower screen, you don't need a specialized kettle. The screen evenly distributes water regardless of the pour, making it very forgiving and easy to use anywhere.
Can I do full immersion brewing with this?
Yes! By keeping the flow-control valve closed, you can use the PULSAR™ Mini as a full immersion brewer. You can then open the valve to filter the coffee through the paper disc for a clean, sediment-free cup.
What grind size should I use?
Generally, you should use a medium-coarse grind, slightly coarser than what you would use for a standard V60. Because there is no bypass, the water stays in contact with the coffee longer, so a coarser grind helps prevent over-extraction.
