Description

The Rhino Coffee Gear Group Head Brush is the standard brush for daily group head cleaning — an angled handle keeps your hand away from the hot group, and an integrated dosing scoop sits in the base for backflushing powder.

Classic use: brush coffee residue out of the group head, shower screen and group seal — after every backflushing cycle or before the first shot in the morning. The angled geometry is purpose-shaped so your hand stays outside the water stream and away from the hot group — no more scalded thumbs.

The base of the handle is a built-in dosing scoop: accurate portioning of EVO, Cafiza or comparable backflushing powder with the same tool — no second utensil, no powder spilled on the counter. Replaceable bristle head (replacement pack sold separately). Item code: RHGB.

Tipps für die erste Tasse

After each backflushing run the brush across the shower screen and along the group seal — the last freed coffee oil residue doesn't end up in the next espresso.

Store the brush bristles-up or hanging — it dries faster and no musty smell builds up at the base of the bristles.

Rinse the dosing scoop base under hot water occasionally — backflushing powder residue collects there and crusts over time.

What is the brush specifically designed for?

Daily cleaning of the espresso group head: removing coffee residue from the group rim, shower screen seat and group seal — typically after each backflushing cycle or at end of shift. Also for prepping backflushing when you want to dose powder accurately using the base scoop.

What's special about the angled handle?

In a café workflow the machine is always on — the handle sits out of the water stream and away from the hot group. When backflushing with Cafetto EVO you stay safely clear of burns, even when the group is still under pressure.

How does the integrated dosing scoop work?

The handle base is shaped as a small scoop. Tilt it into your backflushing powder (e.g. Cafetto EVO, Cafiza, Urnex), pick up one scoop and drop it straight into the portafilter with blind basket. One tool instead of three — a time saver on every shot changeover.

How do I replace the bristles?

Click the bristle head off the handle (press & twist or just push), click the replacement on — no tools. The separate 3-pack of replacement bristles is in our shop and costs a fraction of a new brush.
