The Mini features a narrower diameter optimized for smaller coffee doses and uses 58mm filters. It retains the same no-bypass design and flow-control valve but in a more compact, travel-friendly size.
Do I need a gooseneck kettle for the PULSAR™ Mini?
No. Thanks to the diffused shower screen, you don't need a specialized kettle. The screen evenly distributes water regardless of the pour, making it very forgiving and easy to use anywhere.
Can I do full immersion brewing with this?
Yes! By keeping the flow-control valve closed, you can use the PULSAR™ Mini as a full immersion brewer. You can then open the valve to filter the coffee through the paper disc for a clean, sediment-free cup.
What grind size should I use?
Generally, you should use a medium-coarse grind, slightly coarser than what you would use for a standard V60. Because there is no bypass, the water stays in contact with the coffee longer, so a coarser grind helps prevent over-extraction.
