Tipps für die erste Tasse

Preheat: pour hot water into the chamber and dump — keeps brew temperature consistent for reproducible flavor.

Standard brew ratio: 17 g coffee to 220 g water at 92 °C — gives a balanced body without bitterness. Vary by bean.

Cool the filter cap under cold water before removing — protects your hand and lets you clean immediately.

What sets the Premium apart from the original AeroPress?

Materials and build — Premium uses double-walled borosilicate glass instead of polypropylene plastic, anodized aluminum instead of black plastic, plus stainless-steel accessories. Brewing tech and taste are identical.

Can I invert the Premium for the inverted method?

AeroPress explicitly advises against the inverted method — the glass material makes the chamber unstable upside-down and there's a real burn risk from hot brew. Brew upright only.

Does the filter cap get hot?

Yes — the stainless filter cap heats up during brewing. Run it under cool water for a few seconds before removing, or use a cloth — prevents burns.

Which paper filters fit?

All standard AeroPress paper microfilters — the round 60 mm filters from the AeroPress range. The stainless filter cap also accepts reusable metal filters.
