The AeroPress Replacement Filter Holder is the spare filter cap for your AeroPress — removable cap with built-in mesh that holds the filter in place during the press.

Original spare part from AeroPress. Standard fits AeroPress Original, Clear and Go. XL fits ONLY the AeroPress XL and XL Clear (larger chamber). The two size versions are NOT interchangeable.

Swap the filter cap if it has cracks, the thread no longer engages cleanly or you just want a spare on hand. Plastic material like the original cap, BPA-free, dishwasher-safe.

Tipps für die erste Tasse

When swapping, briefly check the old cap for cracks — sometimes you only spot material fatigue under close inspection, then the importance of the swap becomes clear.

With multiple AeroPress on hand: caps are interchangeable between Original and Clear in a pinch — the sizes are identical.

Clean the cap thread with detergent — prevents coffee oil residue from building up in the thread spiral.

Does the Standard cap fit the XL?

NO — the XL chamber is larger, the standard cap doesn't fit. For AeroPress XL you need the XL version (XLC01).

Don't I need the Flow Control Cap instead?

This is a standard replacement cap (for regular brewing like the original). The Flow Control Cap is a separate premium accessory with a pressure valve — different use case.

How long does a cap normally last?

Years at normal home use. With heavy café use (10+ brews daily) the first wear shows on the threads after 1-2 years.

Does this work with the Premium?

Yes — Standard fits AeroPress Original, Clear, Go and Premium (all standard size). Premium includes a stainless filter cap in the box, but this plastic cap works as a backup too.
