Does the Standard cap fit the XL?
NO — the XL chamber is larger, the standard cap doesn't fit. For AeroPress XL you need the XL version (XLC01).
Don't I need the Flow Control Cap instead?
This is a standard replacement cap (for regular brewing like the original). The Flow Control Cap is a separate premium accessory with a pressure valve — different use case.
How long does a cap normally last?
Years at normal home use. With heavy café use (10+ brews daily) the first wear shows on the threads after 1-2 years.
Does this work with the Premium?
Yes — Standard fits AeroPress Original, Clear, Go and Premium (all standard size). Premium includes a stainless filter cap in the box, but this plastic cap works as a backup too.
