Description

The AeroPress XL is the big sister of the Original — same patented 3-in-1 brewing tech, double the capacity (550 ml), and includes a crystal-clear Tritan carafe for 2-3 cups per brew.

550 ml brew capacity covers a full café breakfast or a small round of guests — the included 20 oz Tritan carafe is shatterproof and catches the brew directly. The XL geometry keeps the exact AeroPress brewing tech: immersion, aeration and pressure in one motion.

Available in two materials: Standard (#7 polypropylene plastic, dark grey, tough and travel-proof) or Clear (transparent Tritan body, watch extraction live). Brewing tech and taste are identical — only material and looks differ.

Tipps für die erste Tasse

XL standard ratio: 25 g coffee to 350 g water at 90-92 °C — gives balanced body for 2-3 cups. Vary by bean and brew time.

Preheat the carafe: briefly rinse with hot water — keeps brew temperature stable to the last cup, even during long service.

Spread the plunger push: press evenly over 25-30 seconds — gives finer extraction than a fast push, especially at double the volume.

What does the XL give me over the Original?

Double the brew capacity (550 ml vs 280 ml) plus an included Tritan carafe as a server. You brew for multiple people in one pass instead of stacking smaller brews. Brewing tech and flavor are identical.

Standard or Clear — which should I pick?

Standard is #7 PP plastic (anthracite, tough, more affordable). Clear is Tritan (transparent, visually appealing for café bar display, more scratch-resistant). Brew performance is identical — choose based on looks and budget.

Which filters fit?

Special AeroPress XL paper filters (larger than standard AeroPress filters). Standard 60 mm filters do NOT fit — you need the XL version. Stainless mesh filters in XL format also work.

Is the Tritan carafe BPA-free?

Yes — Tritan™ is explicitly BPA-free and FDA-compliant for food contact. Microwave-safe for reheating a cup, dishwasher-safe.
