400 ml fits single-serve drippers (V60-01, Origami S, Brewista Tornado Duo Size 1) — 1–2 cups per brew. 700 ml for larger brews (V60-02, Origami M, Tornado Duo Size 2, Chemex 3-cup) or cupping sessions with multiple tasters. If you switch back and forth, 700 ml is the more universal pick.
What does polygonal base mean?
The inside bottom isn't flat or round — it has a polygonal (multi-sided) geometry. When coffee drops land at the bottom, they're deflected by the polygon edges, blending first and last brew phases automatically — even aroma in the finished brew.
Is the server dishwasher-safe?
The borosilicate glass is dishwasher-safe. We recommend handwashing the BPA-free plastic handle — hot dishwasher detergent can dull it over time. Safest: rinse the server under hot water, wipe the handle with a damp cloth.
Does the glass handle direct heat change?
Borosilicate glass handles thermal shock significantly better than soda-lime glass. Safe for direct hot-water brewing and cleaning. Still: don't go from freezer to hot water in one step — that exceeds even borosilicate tolerances.
