Which grind setting for which brewing method?
Espresso ~6–10 clicks, AeroPress 12–18, pour-over (V60, Chemex) 18–22, French press 28–32. Cupping ~25. The scale starts at 0 (fine) and goes up to ~40 (coarse). Each click is ~10 μm.
How do I clean the grinder?
Rinse the glass containers with warm water — wood/lacquer body only dry with a brush. For heavy espresso use, take the burr apart once a month and brush out coffee residue (no liquid on the burr).
How long does the Nitro Blade burr last?
With normal use (1–3 cups per day), the burr lasts 10+ years. Replacement burrs are available directly from Comandante and can be swapped in 5 minutes.
Is the grinder suitable for espresso?
Yes — the C40 MK4 is often used as a manual single-shot grinder for pour-over espresso setups (Flair, 9Barista). For classic 2-bar machines, the fineness is sufficient, but per-cup volume is limited (an 18 g dose takes ~40 s of cranking).
