Description

The Comandante X25 Trailmaster is the outdoor edition of the Comandante family — engineered for weekend adventures in the Bavarian Alps. Lightweight, ultra-robust, with full Comandante grind quality and a Tigershark burr variant optimized specifically for the outdoors.

The heart of it: the Tigershark burr with Double Shark Tips. The dual cutting geometry efficiently slices dense, light specialty beans and also handles other semi-elastic materials like oats for porridge or grains for flatbread. Ideal for trekking days when the grinder takes on multiple roles.

The body is made from QTP (Quartz-Tough Polymer) — a proprietary Comandante material that is weather-resistant, scratch-resistant, and impact-resistant. The polygonal unibody design distributes impacts across the entire body surface instead of concentrating them on a single weak point. At just 740 g, the grinder fits in any backpack.

Included: a food-safe silicone pop-lid that seals the internals against dust, water, and insects during transport. Made in Germany — same workshop as the C40 line.

Tipps für die erste Tasse

Clean the grinder before each trip — grinding oats or grain leaves residue in the burr that can later affect coffee taste.

The Tigershark burr is optimal for light roasts — with very dark espresso roasts, the clarity may feel "sour". Try light filter roasts on the road.

For porridge: oats at a coarse setting (around 28–32) — the Tigershark geometry slices them without pulverizing.

Yes — QTP (Quartz-Tough Polymer) was developed for exactly this application. The polygonal unibody design distributes impact energy across the entire surface. Under normal backpack use and table-height drops, it survives without issues.

What's the pop-lid for?

The food-safe silicone lid seals the burr area of the grinder so no dust, water, or other contaminants enter the burr during transport in a backpack or car. Remove it before grinding, put it back on after.
